De weergoden waren ons niet gunstig gezind, maar het enthousiaste publiek stroomde in meer dan verwachte getalen de zaal in. Binnen no-time was het afgeladen en konden we van start.

De dames Lies, Kirsten en Isah hebben ons een mooi programma voorgeschoteld.

Orville Breeveld presenteerde talenten van het Conservatorium en Crea met zijn onverlaten energie.

Yori, Rakel, Sim, Hanneke, Sophie en natuurlijk Jenny Lane streelde al onze zintuigen van begin tot smakelijk eind.

FIRST LADIES OF JAZZ feat. JENNY LANE -Een sprankelende middag met een jazzy kruisbestuiving tussen de talentvolle Breathing Bijlmer Bees, en de Crea Bea Birds. Onder begeleiding van een live band met een bekende leermeester leiden zij u door een wereld waarin alles mogelijk is, van hip hop tot jazz, van pop tot klassiek.

Live on stage: Jenny Lane (bekend van DWDD, voorprogr. Joss Stone), Amy Fasola, Sophie en anderen.

Immigration and diversity are the biggest, hottest, most painful issues in the Netherlands. America is the land of diversity. What’s the secret to America’s approach? It’s a tiny thing: the hyphen (streepje). Everyone in the U.S. has a dual identity: Mexican-American, Italian-American, African-American… America tells newcomers: “Become American, join us…but don’t lose your origins.” It has taken a few hundred years, and it has plenty of flaws, but American diversity works. The purpose of this special, all-day event, organized by the John Adams Institute with the sponsorship of the Dutch Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Embassy in The Hague, is to pose this question: Can the American diversity format work in the Netherlands?

· Amsterdam street musicians, a slideshow on what it’s like to be an illegal immigrant in New York, and a case study of how Pepsi pioneered the integration of blacks into its sales force in the 1940s.

Boris en Wicked Jazz Sounds organiseren tour vol funk soul en jazz.

Boris en Wicked Jazz Sounds hebben samen voor negen shows een bijzonder avondvullend programma opgezet, ?The Groovalicious Tour?.Met van de eerste tot de laatste minuut de Nederlandse crème de la crème van funk, soul en jazz.

Jenny Lane zal de avond openen!

Gevolgd door de Wicked Jazz Sounds Band en Boris & band met een feature van DO of Caro Emerald.

Boris & band touren sinds begin 2009 rond na de release van zijn derde succesvolle album ?Live My Life?. De Wicked Jazz Sounds Band debuteerde begin dit jaar met haar album ?The Biggest Sin?. Sinds deze start verovert ze de podia met haar dansbare mix van diverse stijlen.

Tijdens ontmoetingen onderweg zijn de bands op het idee gekomen om hun kwaliteiten te bundelen.
Met ruim dertig topmuzikanten, zangers en zangeressen op het podium wordt deze swingende belevenis een must see voor iedere muziekliefhebber.

De tour doet in totaal negen zalen aan in de periode december tot en met februari.

Op 23 december zal in Paradiso de Xtra Large Edition van deze tour worden gehouden waarbij er nog enkele andere bands geprogrammeerd zijn. Deze namen worden later bekend gemaakt.
